Team Green Youth's Lewis Hall did himself and his country proud at the EMX85cc finals in Loket this past weekend by finishing fifth overall.

It's a stellar effort from the lad nicknamed 'Animal' after a coming through arguably the hardest qualifying sector (the North West region). Lewis was the only British rider to officially qualify for the finals by finishing fifth after five qualifying rounds that took him to Denmark, Slovakia, Holland, Germany and Finland before finally making it to the final at the Czech GP at Loket.

In typical bullish and aggressive 'Animal' style Lewis ripped through the pack in the opening moto from 18th off the start to an awesome 4th place and was putting some real heat on the 2nd and 3rd place riders at the flag. In the second moto he had to pull through from and even worse start and eventually got up to 8th to claim fifth overall in the championship. Lewis has grown fast and due to his size suffers out of the gate and up some of the hills compared with the most of the lighter kids in his class, but once he gets rolling he does it at some speed!

He now has a few more races left on his Team Green KX85 before moving up to a KXF250 in 2017 aged 14. We look forward to seeing and being part of that as exhaust suppliers to the team. Well done Lewis, from us all at DEP Pipes.
