It’s been a helter skelter seven weeks of action and now, seemingly just like that the UK Arenacross series is over.

It’s been a great series all round with packed out arenas and racing that literally has left you gasping and we’re proud to say we’ve been a small part of it through our two supported race teams that have been racing in the series - Team Green Kawasaki UK and XBladez WD40 Husqvarna. Both teams have given their all and been at the sharp end in most of the races.

In their debut year as an official ‘in house’ manufacture team, Team Green finished third in the overall team standings which was a great return on the series. They had several wins along the way in the form of Bobby Bruce, Kacey Hird and Dylan Woodcock and with the two pro riders Jack Brunell and Hugo Basaula making all seven pro finals it secured the top three spot.

The XBladez WD40 Husqvarna team did a fantastic job, especially considering they had rider changes along the way. For the last two rounds they brought in two American west coast racers in the form of Collin Jurin and Dylan Schmoke to dive in the deep end. It was Dylan’s first time in the UK and he improved in the short time he was here. Collin was returning after racing the series last year and quickly got back up to speed nailing down the team’s first podium in the final of the last round at Wembley to put some team points on the board, which registered them with an eight place overall finish. Not bad at all considering they only competed in the pro classes for three rounds. Little Alfie Osborne made his Arenacross debut represnting the team with two rounds to go on the 65cc and didn’t disappoint bearing in mind he was jumping from his auto to a 65cc for his first competitive outing on a geared bike.

With the wham, bam, slam of Arenacross now over for another year the focus turns towards the great outdoors. Team Green will be lining up in force at the opening round of the MX Nationals in two weeks time at Fatcat. Good luck lads from us all at DEP.
